I do this kind of thing all the time - miss people or not realise who they are. I was sitting right next to a guy for most of a day who'd invited me along to a Belfast con without realising it! Dipshit that I am. I'm going to try and make Eastercon - I have a dodgy back right now (sciatica) but it should have cleared up by then. Aaargh. I remembered after it you said you'd be there, but somehow I failed to catch you - assuming you were in fact there, and I wasn't suffering my sporadic inability to recognised people up to and including family members). I'm very glad I read it, it's an excellent debut novel. I will now have to go back and investigate some of Beckett's short work!
