Good news for UK phone users

British phone bills are set to get smaller. The telecoms watchdog ‘Ofcom’ has announced that it plans to suspend regulation of pricing on phone calls this August, with the aim of enhancing competition in the telco market. What this means for the average man on the street is that the phone and cable companies are going to go to war to entice you with the cheapest deals in an effort to win your custom. Hopefully the same thing will occur to broadband services – I couldn’t live without my connection any more, but I could live without the hefty monthly fee for it.
