The boyfriend and I managed to get Lost Girls less than a week before it was banned in Canada. It’s classic Moore – he takes what could simply be creepy paedophilia and turns it into a gorgeous heartbreaking set of stories about how people survive the horrors of life. He can definitely see into the hearts of evil people and their victims.
Here’s an interview with Alan Moore from last month if you’re interested.
What I don’t understand is why Lost Girls is banned but Robert Crumb’s books can cross our borders. That guy has major talent but he can be seriously perverted!
