  1. Digital Domain – Everyone Loves Google, Until It’s Too Big

"A key element of the agreement is the creation of a Book Rights Registry that will collect payments from Google and distribute them to authors and publishers. Sarnoff said the publishers pressed for the creation of this registry in part because it would be too "easy to disintermediate the publisher over time" if Google paid authors directly. Sarnoff said that the structure of the registry will be "tough to replicate for [Google's] competitors."" Capitalism – always blows when it's working better for the other guys, don't it?

  3. Post Avatar – WordPress plugin

"… simplifies the process of including a picture when writing posts. Authors simply choose from a predefined list of images in the Write Post page to display an image in a post. A template tag displays the image with The Loop. This plugin is similar to Livejournal userpics."

  4. Public Post Preview WordPress Plugin

"Enables you to give a link to anonymous users for public preview of a post before it is published.

Have you ever been writing a post with the help of someone who does not have access to your blog and needed to give them the ability to preview it before publishing? This plugin takes care of that by generating a URL with an expiring nonce that can be given out for public preview." Genius!
