If you wanna cheap way to replenish your book shelves try www.bookmooch.com. You put 1 book up and get 0.1 points in your inventory, then put the books you don't want. Then add to a wishlist or search for books others have. there's different points required for different area's. You pay for the post if someone wants your books and vice versa. Btw, loved the survey (via Tim Coates site), will answer soon.

Hey thanks for the critique of our site. We recognize that shipping can be fairly costly. This is why you should look to see whatsonmybookshelf.com organizing by location to not rid of the library but at least deconstruct some of its walls. Shoot me an email cause if you'd like to talk.

[...] Granted, it wouldn’t really fit with libraries as they stand at the moment. But let’s get a bit futurist here, let’s get our ‘library2.0′ going on. I’ve mentioned before that a good way for libraries to stay afloat in a fast-changing world would be to offer ebook versions of text books (hell, why not novels too?) in a variety of formats - [...]
