i’d buy that for a dollar

I kinda came up alongside Tim Maughan in the early Noughties, and while there are days when I wonder how or why I managed to find my way to doing what I do for a living, there’s never been a day when I wondered how Tim broke through way bigger and better than I did.

Exhibit A:

Within days, millions have viewed it, and with every new share, the discourse around it grows. But little of it is actually focused on the still-unknown woman’s words. Battered and drowned by a decade of the fake and artificial, the message finally suffocated by the medium, the internet instead argues over just one thing, like it always does now: whether the clip is real or not.

Scathing, yet full of heart, with no punches pulled1. Go read the whole thing.

  1. I’m guessing Tim will be joining me on the list of futures practitioners extremely unlikely to ever be invited to appear at the Dubai Futures Forum, assuming he wasn’t already on it. ↩︎
