I’ve taken to following a bunch of feeds in an effort to get myself at least vaguely abreast of contemporary art, but I guess I must be a philistine, because well over 80% of it looks like half-hearted amateur trash to me?

But every now and again something glorious or beautiful or deeply weird pops up. This deeply cursed object is in the last of those three categories, like something that dropped out of a meat-sweats nightmare:

What does it mean? I’ve no idea—but at least in this case, the thing invites interpretation (or, equally, a frantic retreat to the gift shop) without insisting you read a little plaque on the wall.
