Waiting for check-in to open on my ferry back to the Öresund, after a week in Oslo which has been a mix of pleasure and paradigm-shattering bad news. The seasons turn, and we must turn with them. Plans fall apart, and must be replaced. Priorities must be reassessed. Acceptance gives the gift of time, and time is not to be wasted when one is in one’s mid-forties.

So: what is it I want to do, and why do I want to do it? The answers are to be made, rather than given or found. So head home, sit down, pick up the tools, and start carving.
