11JUN23 / accessions

The accessions department is far from tireless, but rarely rests. It acquired this copy of the new posthumous Graeber while dropping in at Shakespeare & Sons, an English-language bookshop in Prague, that most literary of cities.

Quite why the institution was in Prague is a topic for a later update, perhaps… though it bears noting now that Graeber’s previous posthumous publication with Wengrove has been much in discussion over the weekend, albeit mostly among the other outsiders invited here. The insiders, by contrast—who are themselves outsiders, in a certain sense—are not much interested in pasts; that is why their futures are empty, mere packaging for devices which (we might hope) will never be made.
